New
for 2012
We have
been busy working on a little sister project to Tea & Make, which
we are really looking forward to telling you all about next year. Watch
this space!
Tea
& Make in 2011
We keep
in touch with all our wonderful Tea & Makers and they have been doing
amazing things in 2011, so you’re sure to spot some of their work
for sale online and in the shops! They have also been asking us when we’re
putting on our next event... but sadly 2011 has gone by without a ‘Tea
& Make do’, as we have been hugely busy with our own projects
(do check out our websites if you’re curious about the other things
we do... www.pheasantmailorder.co.uk
and www.interim.org.uk)
and we have also both moved home this year (as you can imagine this is
no quick thing for two women who LOVE styling up their homes!!)
Presentation
for Lewisham Council
In
July Tea & Make were invited to present at Lewisham Council’s
second Creative Exchange event, Retail Revolution, a key area of development
for the creative industries strategy for the council.
The event
focussed on opportunities provided by Empty Shops, providing pragmatic
advice and ideas on taking proposals forward, aimed at groups and creative
businesses that are interested in using the Council’s empty shops
or liaising with a private property owner. Tea & Make were invited
to present how they made their Pop-Up Shop happen, alongside presentations
from Council members and Spacemakers’
Dougald Hines.
For more information on Lewisham's Empty Shops Strategy please contact
Brigid Howarth on brigid.howarth@lewisham.gov.uk
or 020 8314 7728.
For anyone
out there with an empty shop space they'd like us to fill contact Sally
or Esther!
